Our friends at the new-look InsideTheMagic posted a quick video tour of the nighttime safari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. To say I’m excited is an understatement.
As I’ve said so many times before, Animal Kingdom doesn’t get a fair enough shake. My family views it as a one-day park and continues to moan and groan when we go. I even tried to trick them, planning our FP+’s for later in the day, with the hope that it would get us to stay at the park. Still, they found a reason to leave early, citing the heat and humidity.
But Animal Kingdom is adding a lot of exciting things. The Rivers of Light and the new safari experience is sure to get people excited; and with Hollywood Studios in a state of flux over the next few years, we may just see Animal Kingdom unseat it for a while.
On a side note, the nighttime experience is going to be awesome. Many animals hunt and are far more active during the night. You won’t (shouldn’t) see any National Geographic hunting scenes, but I do think you’ll see a lot more animals – like lions – at night. I’m always disappointed when we arrive at the king of the jungle and he’s sleeping. InsidetheMagic’s video shows an awake lion, which is certainly a draw for me!
