Better late than never, right? I’ve been a bit busy this week and lost track of time, but we can’t go a Friday without some Disney food. In honor of my late post, let’s check out some of my favorite late-night food spots at Disney World.
Whether you’re arriving to Disney late or just looking for a midnight snack, Disney has a plethora of snacks and food perfect for satisfying that late craving. After all, you’re on vacation! Here are a few recommendations:
Disney Springs is quickly becoming the new “hub” for food at Disney World. With a wide assortment of offerings, some by highly regarded celebrity chefs, there are plenty of options. While Disney Springs typically closes around 11pm or 12am, many of the restaurants remain open late into the night.
The Boathouse led the way into Downtown Disney’s transition into Disney Springs. The nautical themed restaurant features upscale dining, specializing in seafood and steak. The Boathouse comes at a hefty price tag and counts as two dining credits on the Disney Dining Plan; however, the restaurant also features a bar menu with much more palatable prices. Not only does The Boathouse feature some great food, but it also has music and entertainment. The Boathouse is open until 2am, making it a great latenight spot.
If you’re like me, you often crave a big cheeseburger late at night. D-Luxe Burger is only open until 11pm, but it makes a great spot for a burger and fries. D-Luxe burgers serves up some artisan burgers, including a chorizo burger, chicken burger and veggie burger.
STK is a posh addition to Disney Springs. The swanky steakhouse is not the spot to go for a quiet meal, but it’s certainly a fun environment for those seeking a party environment. STK stays open until 12am most nights.
Last is Morimoto Asia. Another restaurant with elegant decor, The restaurant is owned by Iron Chef Morimoto. Morimoto has rooftop seating, giving it a relaxed atmosphere perfect for kicking back with a drink and some sushi or Asian dish.
I touched on some lounges last week. Many lounges at Disney feature late night dining. It’s the perfect spot after arriving to Disney, especially if you’re staying at the resort.
Most lounges can be found at Signature restaurants.
Resort Food Courts
If you’re looking for a cheap, quick meal, many of the resort food courts have pre-made pick-up-and-go options, baked goods and freshly prepared items. Most resort food courts are open late, making it great to grab a quick cookie should your sweet tooth strike, or a savory item like a sandwich or other hot food options.
Some of my favorites include Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary, Capt. Cooks at the Polynesian and Landcape of Flavors at Art of Animation.
The Boardwalk/Yacht & Beach Club
If you read this blog often, you know how much we love Boardwalk Bakery. Boardwalk Bakery is the best spot for pastries and desserts. Along with sandwiches, it makes a great late night spot.
Ample Hills is also open late. The new ice cream shop opened to immense popularity. The Brooklyn native serves up some tasty concoctions, including Sally Sells Seashells, a flavor unique to Disney.
Last is Beaches and Cream. Not only does Beaches and Cream serve up some gigantic sundaes, but it features delicious burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and pattie melts. It’s my favorite spot to go after Illuminations and Fantasmic!
